American businessman, founder of SpaceX Elon Musk called the information that Facebook (owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) as a manifestation of censorship does not allow the dissemination of an interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

“This is an insane level of censorship!” — Musk wrote on social network X, commenting on a post by Malaysian journalist Ian Miles Chong. According to the latter, Facebook, at the request of the White House, “significantly limited the distribution” of the interview.

“Mark Zuckerberg [Meta’s owner] appears to be prioritizing maintaining a favorable relationship with the [US President Joe] Biden administration over establishing the truth,” Jeong said. He noted that social network X, which Musk owns, “is a more reliable source of news.”
